Things to do in Ashford...?
Jump to: Newest in thread
So if you're away with work in a town you don't know at all (and you don't have a car), what d'you fill your evenings with? Beer? Absinthe? Line dancing? Knitting?!
I had a work trip to Ashford last year for a few nights and I was bored out of my tiny mind (although Cineworld did come to the rescue for one of the evenings).
Looks like I'm going to be back down there again in the not too distant future so I'm trying to plan ahead so I can avoid over-wanking while I'm there...!

"There's ....a walk in the woods? not an overly inspiring place"
"A walk in the woods" sounds alarmingly like some kind of cheap horror film where the hero gets lost in a forest and then hunted by strangely shaped in-breds brandishing hand-crafted utensils |

Ashford is a dump!! I used to live there when I worked in Kent. Dover is worse. Folkestone and Maidstone aren’t much better.
Across the border in Sussex you’ve got Rye which is nice (but not big) and Battle, the site of 1066.
Camber sands is good for a walk/run.
London is only 35 minutes on the choo choo.
Or you could go to Calais |

Have you looked for a bus shelter to vandalise, always fun and you can write Dirty Debbie fucks and sucks and put a random phone number on it, put your own and see who rings. There's always fun to be had |

Me?*

What do you like to do? That would help.
Get google up and search for Ashford, with
One of local college courses (pottery anyone? )
Ghost walks
Local tours
Open mic nights
Comedy nights… |

I suspect Cineworld will be getting another dollop of my cash
In fact, I think the last time I went to the cinema was when I was down there! Top Gun in 4D...made my TV back home seem a wee bit tame |

D'you know, I'd love to have a go at pottery! Although I suspect it's another of those things that looks fabulously easy when you see a pro do it, but would end up like a demolition site if I tried it |

"Wonder if you've gone to the right Ashford?
Sounds like he's definitely in the wrong one tbf"
It's the one in Kent...which I thought was the only one, until someone pointed out to me there's another one in Middlesex! |

"Go bowling? Lots of lovely countryside around lovely little country pubs! Wye is a lovely place to go walking! I often cycle out there x"
Now that would be a first for many years! Can't remember last time I went bowling! Think I'd probably need the guide rails down the side |
