Rat bites Man in Brighton Sauna

Reports that a man has been bitten on the foot by a rat in an outdoor sauna which actually resembles a horsebox. This happened in Brighton which is an old Victorian seaside town. Are rats on the increase due to the mild weather and what have you found in a sauna that should not be there. It's all over the news...

The Town by The Cross

I think any rat is entitled to bite if some random wanders in while it's having a little rat time.

A few stray cocks have been reported in a sauna in Portsmouth. Which is a city on the South Coast famed for Lord Nelson and for not being as good as Southampton

Not all that North of North London

I saw this sauna a few weeks ago and can't believe people were paying a lot of money to go there. I'm in no way surprised that there are rats there, there'll be plenty on Brighton beach and they'd be drawn to this because there's food and waste and rubbish there

It's these outdoorsy types from the city who like to go go back to the city and tell people they like camping in a yurt and want to open their own activity center one day in Ireland. They can cope with knife crime, scooter crime and car crime but put them in the country and they are oblivious to the dangers of rats, badgers, toxic plants and insects ...

Might be more newsworthy if a rat had been bitten by a man in Brighton

I hope the rat is OK.

I wonder why the rat would just bite a human like that -- they're typically quite scared of people.

In my opinion, there's way too much prejudice against these creatures -- they're amongst the most intelligent and social mammals there are, and a lot cleaner than most people realise.

Of course, wild rats can be a disease risk (like many animals) and destructive of human property -- but we're quite a destructive species ourselves, so not really in a place to judge.

Pigeons have far more deceases than rats, there are 3 types of deceased you get from pigeons what are harmful to humans, plus if you breath in the dust from dried up pigeon droppings it can seriously mess your chest up

To be fair, he's better off going to a club which has a sauna. You get a different breed of rat in there.
