As a child of the late 80's and growing up a big fan of Guns 'n' Roses, just flicking through the old Sky box and found Slash on SkyartsHD playing at Stoke. How cool is that? He is one cool Martha Focker |

"He was born there, hence the name of the show 'Made In Stoke' his real name is Saul Hudson."
Indeed it is! And his first born son is called London coz that's where he was made. Lol. Ooh I'm feeling a guns and roses reminiscing session coming on.. Where's my iPod?? Lol x |

"How good does it sound. Luckily I have a wicked Bose sound system which is now getting serious punishment"
He's amazing. The bit in November rain where he's out the front playing his solo with a fag hanging out of his mouth makes me go weak at the knees. Read the book if you haven't already it's awesome x |

"I prefer this stuff to GnR but the show is somewhat let down by Miles Kennedy's inconsistent vocals. He's usually much better than that."
Ah see I was listening to GnR at 13 and I've loved them ever since but this is good too. X |

I was a little younger. I like them, but I never liked Axl's vocal style. The music, though, was great. |

In all fairness it was more about attitude than technical virtuosity. Many of the great bands stick to a pretty simple formula (AC/DC, Status Quo for example)
That being said, a lot of GnR's music was far from simple, Coma and Estranged are pretty complex. |

I was about to stay the same. Their stage presence was amazing. Estranged is one of my personal favourites!! X |

Some of the punkier stuff was pretty easy, but asa whole I'd say they were a bans of intermediate players...lol
I certainly wouldn't expect any of my students to be playing Sweet Child Of Mine unless they've been playing for more than a year or so. |

"I'm having trouble picking which real Les Paul to play along with...
Argh.., really?? I've always wanted to learn xx "
If you were closer I give lessons.
Been playing since I was 6. I also collect, repair and build guitars. I also play in several bands and occasionally do session work.
Between my music, my job and my kids its a wonder I have a personal life!...lol x |

"did anyone see him when he had myles kennedy singing? seriously how flipping good is that guy, he was amazing on stage, nice eye candy too lol"
Myles is singing on the show we're talking about. I wasn't impressed on this occasion. He's far better with Alter Bridge. He's exceptional with them. |

Normally I agree. It may be because Slash (and his band) are tuned differently to Alter Bridge. (Slash tunes to E-flat standard and Alterbridge tune Drop-D, sometimes Drop-D flat) |
