I don't understand how you can't like shortbread?? It's the BEST ... Cuppa tea to top it off...
And yes it is tongue in cheek I realise there are people with different tastes to mine but I mean come on

Hard agree! It's perfection confection, especially the buttery, melt in the mouth variety. The way it begins off hard-ish, then crumbles into a heavenly paste, disappearing slowly down my throat. Yes,I'm a fan  |

Have always loved it but really enjoy Galette du Petit Dejeuner that my lovely french friend gave me a recipe for.
Have also been known to have shortbread with hot custard as a quick cheat dessert  |
