Does anyone use FreeSat.
I live in an area that has poor TV signal so looking for alternatives. I don’t want to pay any more subscriptions if I can help it.
I thought FreeSat may be a good alternative, but not sure how to ensure we have a good quality dish installed. I know very little about this, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Or if you know of an app I can install on my Fire Tv that will be me FreeView that I can stream. |

We'll if you have fire TV then it should be able to play all the major channels on demand services and alot of them in the apps allow you to watch live TV, also look up Pluto TV app.
Also KODI was very good on android TV boxes so possible to get it working on fire if its still around. |

Freesat is a bit like freeview, just a few more channels and one or two different ones. A normal sky dish will do. However you also have the option to watch stuff from your phone if you have a lot of inclusive data and just mirror it to your TV if you want to avoid having to install a dish. |

If you have a dish already installed just grab yourself an old sky box from a cash convertors. I picked one up for £20 you don't need a card or anything just plug it in and you'll get all the freesat channels. If you like it you can always upgrade your box.
I'd also recommend a forest firestick or a roku box. Tons of streaming options available with them. |

I usually watch most programs and films through a Amazon Firestick and have downloaded a few streaming sites no subscription and every program and film available

With Freesat you'll get about 300 channels most of which you won't need. The signal issue, technically isn't one if you find a good installer, the firestick option is good if you're internet is decent and I can help with a IPTV sub for all channels if this is the case ...
