I shall say this only once, well actually I've lost count of how many times I have said it since posting on the forums
Do you reply to every piece of unsolicited junk mail, through your letterbox, emails or phone calls?
With a thanks, but no thanks..no!
How people run their account/s is entirely their choice.
No reply normally means no thanks, not a hard concept to grasp.
Even if let's say everyone replied to every single message, where would that get you?
Normally with then a string of but if I change this or that, or will you change your mind, or things similar...meaning you are wasting your time entirely.
Just take it as a no and move on!

Sometimes its not possible, a female friend who was looking for adult company had posted on another site. Her profile was pretty specific about who she would meet and where she lived, Within 8 hours of her pics and profile going online her inbox was full to capacity. Some mail was from hundreds of miles, she confided in me that she was just deleting them as there was no way she could find the time to answer even a half of them. If its a single guy mailing females then sorry mate but its a feeding frenzy and the poor lass is probably sifting through dozens of messages and does not have the time to reply to all.
It's a pity but she said I am too close a friend to have a physical relationship with. |

I found if I replied to all messages they then thought 'oh she's replied that must mean she wants to fuck me'
Then was called a cock tease because I didn't want to.
Just can't win sometimes

For the umpteenth time.............
*From the FAQ's
There are too many rude people on here who don't reply to my messages!
It's not rude not to reply.
Some ladies and couples get hundreds of messages a day so it simply isn't possible for them to reply to everyone. If you don't get a response, you should assume they aren't interested. If you're getting a lot of "no-replies" then you should consider your profile and the messages you send. Are they giving the right message? Are you standing out from the thousands of other guys on here? |

No I disagree, I have very good manners.
But when it comes to this site, I do not feel it is a question of manners at all.
When a bloke messages and says "I want to fcuk you hard" or similar gratuitous words, that is not polite!

I have it written in my profile that I will not reply to every message but even when I didn't I refuse to answer every one. I sat one Sunday trying to reply to messages and ended up in tears as as quick as I answered one I got another. This site for me is for fun and that was not fun.
I want to know why I should reply to messages from people who obviously havnt read my profile anyway ? |

Ive now decided that my fabs time is split into 98% forums, 1% inbox 1% perv profiles.
SO if this week I only have 2 hours, means 90% of my messages will have to wait until next week.
What's the rush anyways, Im ill, I wont be meeting anyone this week.
It isnt like they are taking up space on my worktop |

over the years I have seen many threads on this subject and more often than not rudeness is mentioned...
then lots of people reply with a varying degree of pleasantness but with their personal perspective as to why they do or don't.
then the OP's who were claiming rudeness, never reappear on the thread to say thank you or any acknowledgement that some people have taken time to help.... now in my book, that is rude
it would be ideal if people read all the tips the site highlights to them when they join, apply the filters that are applicable to them, read the FAQ's.....but it is never going to happen |

Well I am still in disagreement, I'd be suicidal by the end of the day if I felt the necessity to reply to all of the messages on here and our couple a/c.
They always come back, unless they go "user no longer on site", where said person/people haven't taken the no thanks without questioning it further and then it becomes a vicious circle where I waste my time saying politely no thanks and then reasons why instead of actually talking to people I want to!

i always thought silence says more than a million words ever could .
if person doesnt replie then its not rocket science...they aint interested !
as for the piffle that its only manners to replie ..is it good manners to get stroppy and abusive ? to start acting like a sat nav ? to whine on age is just a number ? to question your every preference as they dont fit em???
i will send a polite thanks but no thanks if person has read profile .even then you can garentee you open a can of flamin worms most of the time .so its not just as simple as you make out and cant blame people for not answering. no replie is no interest ...just move on ! |

Totally agree with what you have said. Also when you receive continuous monthly or bi monthly messages from people you have turned down (for whatever reason) making out in their messages that they are contacting you for the first time when they have been in touch perhaps five or six times and again I respond with a refusal, yet again explaining why, till they send the next one in and it all starts again lol. Im not really one for blocking people but although I am an older person, my memory is still pretty good. |

We have given up replying to all our messages, we used to but found that a lot of the senders couldn't/wouldn't take the polite " no thank you " gracefully....
So now I look at the senders profile before the message, then the message!
Sometimes I reply.... Sometimes I don't |

Well as Moody said up there, the site is supposed to be fun, my idea of not having fun would be to right now look at the 660 unread messages on here, say no thanks to each one, seeing as they haven't read my profile which states this is a posting a/c only but hey that doesn't matter, and then wait for them all to reply to that, for me then to sit here and block them one by one

Upon receiving a message we'll check their profile first.
If people have bothered to make a decent profile with informative write up, list interests and decent body pictures of both if a couple we'll read the message.
If the message is polite, interesting and worth replying to we always do, even if it's a no thank you.
Generally the only time we'll ignore messages are when they clearly haven't read our profile in the first place, so why bother sending a mail back(are they not going to read that too)?

If I replied to every single arse appreciation message I get I would literally run out of internet paper and lolcat ink in a matter of seconds!!!
People who don't reply are only being responsible and preserving the internet environment for future generations of sexual deviants.
Therefore it is you OP that should send a message to them, thanking them for not thanking you!
I bid you good day sir HAAAARUMPH! |

"If I replied to every single arse appreciation message I get I would literally run out of internet paper and lolcat ink in a matter of seconds!!!
People who don't reply are only being responsible and preserving the internet environment for future generations of sexual deviants.
Therefore it is you OP that should send a message to them, thanking them for not thanking you!
I bid you good day sir HAAAARUMPH!
Pmsl. Nice arse by the way x "
Thank you! x |

"Upon receiving a message we'll check their profile first.

No we receive on average maybe 1 message a day.

"i just wish people would reply to messages i know they must get a lot but when you take the time to write they could at least say a polite no thank you
why should any one reply?
if someone is not interested why bother
they didnt ask you to message them
Think maybe its to do with something that years ago when i was growing up they called manners! (good manners)
After all they cost nothing!
Billy
No I disagree, I have very good manners.
But when it comes to this site, I do not feel it is a question of manners at all.
When a bloke messages and says "I want to fcuk you hard" or similar gratuitous words, that is not polite!
"
they are not polite x |

I find it 'Ruder' not to read the persons profile in the first place before mailing or just 'Ignoring' what is wrote on the profile and trying there luck.
Therefore I am in the 'I don't reply to messages' club. |

I want to know why I should reply to messages from people who obviously havnt read my profile anyway ? "

I sometimes think a 'thanks but no thanks' button might not be a bad idea. Simply glance at the message, or tick the ones you can see aren't for you and then press.
The sender receives an automated reply. If they try and reply to that a warning flashes up warning them not too. |

I get a message on occasion. I keep it unopened so I can spend time wondering what it says (an-ti-ci-paaaaaaa-tion)....sit down in a comfy chair and a glass of wine, press the 'read' button and gorge myself on the knowledge someone has taken the time and effort to contact me. I spend hours afterwards wondering if there was a double meaning to the words 'fuck off,
steve' |

"I shall say this only once, well actually I've lost count of how many times I have said it since posting on the forums
Argh "
And how much time it would take saying no thanks to all those messages and WHY NOT THOUGH |

Sometime some others find it hard to say 'no thanks' as they don't want anyone feelings hurt...
And some find it easy to say 'no thanks'...
And some simply dont have time to reply to each reply as they have busy life style...
And some don't want reply to emails that says ' want a fuck' etc...
I suggest you make email interesting and relating to the profile that interest you...
