When I was about 28 I owned a dark blue jag xjr with ivory interior. It had everything on it, was fast af and smooth as silk.
People used to come up to me and tell me how nice it was. I loved that car! Got rid of it to get an estate for the bikes |

"For me non, Wills got a long long list lol my husband kickin' himself in the ass for some of them he sold cheap."
HaHa same here, I asked the question to him and he was rattling them off for 5 minutes, I did point out to him he probably wouldn’t have bought the next without selling what he had |

My 1973 VW Beetle, could have gotten a fortune for it.
My frankenstein Yamaha RD250DX, it was made up of so many different bikes. It did nothing brilliantly, but always made me smile when I rode it. |

Honestly, all of them. It’s strange but they all seem to have developed a personality (probably because I name them) and so all have been sad to see go.
Yes I’m a saddo who names his cars, girls names if you care to know |

Mk4 VW Golf GTi Turbo 1.8 2001, Black, super chipped, stage 2 remap, lowered to hell, massive wheels, great exhaust & air filter, dump valve. Sounded ace, looked ace & was fast as fuck!

My Ldv Pilot
I converted it to a camper and I put a turbo engine in it.
Was silly fun, not fast but always sideways. Spent many a night in Snowdonia in that old thing.
If it has to actually be a car then my V6 Xantia. Shed looks but ate most of southamptons boy racers and it was so comfortable. I used to love the looks of sheer confusion when it surprised badly modified cars. I say that as it wouldn’t touch a decent properly modded car or a proper fast car. |

Oh lots
1969 BMW 2002 with a new nice upgrades like the 5 speed box from an E30
1974 MK1 Esc0rt
1989 BMW 318is
And of my more modern cars I would say my EP3 Civic Type R. A nice car but more importantly it was what I was driving when I started dating Mrs Bang Bang and we had lots of nice memories in it. |

Since I'm not a big car fan. I miss my 06plate Corsa Sxi+ 1.3l, bucket seats and fairly low profile. Quick off the mark. £30 a year tax. I would probably still have it if it werent for the fact it was a 3 door, and with a child on the way the boot space wasn't big enough. |

Had about a dozen Capris, used to buy and restore them just for the fun of it. Gave some to family/ friends and in time let them all go when time changed and needed family cars etc. Often look back now and gutted I ever let them go
Still see pictures of one online... Spent a week restoring it before going to a Capri run in Blackpool and taking pics of it there. It did look beautiful and since then, it seems to have become a stock pic that people use. Even featured in a piece about Downton Abbey in the Viz once. |

I had a Mk1 Gokf that I wish I could have kept, but it wasn't practical to use every day, I do a lot of miles, so was just sitting in the garage. I sold it about 5 years ago and at least got quite a bit for it.
My previous car was the hugely underrated Peugeot 607, one of the last sold in the UK and top spec. After 225,000 miles it was still immaculate, especially inside, though cost quite a bit to keep on top of mechanically and electrically. On the inside, it could easily rival some of the luxury executive saloons of its time (7-series, S-type, etc), but was much less 'show-y' on the outside. Still looked great, but more anonymously elegant than brash like a BMW or Merc.
It was getting very hard to source some parts for though - at one point I had to have a whole new set of air-con pipes made from scratch after one burst. |

That is the one, just under 1000 were built to get homologation for the car to run in the up to a 1000cc class in the European Touring Car championship. They were a fun car at traffic lights |

Toyota MR2 Roadster.
Fiat Punto 1.2
I actually haven't sold many cars, tended to crash them or run them till they dropped. But the MR2 is one of the few I did in my penniless student years.
Used the money to pay for bike lessons and drove a 306 DTurbo for a while instead.
The Punto I missed so much I actually bought it back and gave it to my mother. She drove it for a few more years before eventually it's floor couldn't be patched any more.
Great cars
Honourable mention to my Rover 25 L series diesel. Didn't sell it, wrote it off, but among my favourite cars. |

Keith's beloved MK1 Lotus Cortina that he sold to buy my engagement ring and use towards a deposit on our first home together.
He sold it to John Surtees who wanted it for his son Henry, he's always wanted another now that we can finally afford it, he'd have loved to buy it back from the Surtees estate but Henry wrecked it years ago in the Kent countryside.

I agonised over parting with my first car - an old Ford Capri - but I think that was largely because it was my first car - but ultimately, I don't regret moving on from it.
The one car I DO regret getting rid of was my 1989 Sierra Sapphire 2.0i Ghia.
Had it 3 years and was a fantastic car - one of the best cars I've owned - though probably comes in 3rd place now behind my current 2.
Top of my list is a car I've owned for 20 years now, my 1996 Pontiac Firebird. |

My MK1 Capri 3000gtxlr. I got it in about 83/84 I paid next to nothing for it and the insurance ended up costing more than the car, took a hacksaw to the exhaust and removed the silencers. I'd hate to think what it would be worth now but it was great fun, I sold it when I got a Granada 2.8 Ghia in Seychelles blue.anothe I would still like to own. |

How are the female readers polarised over the subject of fanny magnets?
Presumably such magnets all needed
