I had the pleasure of driving through Dublin recently, couldn't help notice how bad the quality of driving is... Is there a town or city where it's noticeable how badly people drive there?? |

I used to drive for a living, all over the UK. I've driven in every major city in England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales, and most of the smaller cities and towns. I can honestly say, without fear of contraception, that London has to be the worst place in the UK for driving. |

"Paris. I am traumatised from driving around there "
I still have nightmares about Paris, over 10 years later. God knows how I didn't end up in an accident |

"the body of men with the mind of a boy."
And the majority of those that head to Cornwall with apparently no prior knowledge as to what the little "R" means on the funny stick thing between the front seats...

Without a shaddow of a doubt,,,THEE WORST drivers on this earth."
I respectfully disagree.
Having driven a fair amount in most European countries, yes they drive faster, but they are assertive and by and large obey the rules and ...traffic flows. People expect this way of driving and it works in a big city like Paris. Italian drivers are also good drivers.
In the UK you see a lot of dithering, stopping for no real reason and without a care about anybody behind you, pulling out doing 20mph on a fast moving road then proceeding to go slowly almost causing a pile up behind you, flashing for different and ambiguous reasons, inside overtaking and don't even get me on the queuing when the road goes from 3 to 2 lanes where you are meant to use the zip principle but many don't and become aggressive when people do. Continental standard of driving by and large is leaps better!
In my opinion, over here were are only surpassed by the Dutch and Belgians who qualify as even worse drivers |

Italy. I wouldn't drive there for a lottery win.
Or London. It must be very easy to pass your test if you take it in central London, as the Highway code doesn't appear to apply there |

I don't like how impatient drivers are in London. Stop at traffic lights for a split second after they have changed and I feel I have half of London beeping the horn and giving me the fingers. |

"Yes ashford x
Agreed. Atrocious. I can't remember the last time I saw an indicator at a roundabout "
Well, you won't because they are all driving cars originally designed for LHD with the indicator stalk positioned to be ergonomic for continental drivers whilst changing gear and steering.
Bodged for Britain. The ground for getting away with it having been conveniently laid by Ford and Vauxhall decades ago. |

"M25 , no one uses the inside Lane , they get on at a junction and go straight to 2nd , 3rd or outside lane and stay there till they get off "
I do. It's the safest place to be. Hard shoulder (with luck) adjacent to escape to when breaking down or faced with being concertina'd, well away from most of the idiots. What's not to like?
Just try and make sure not to drool below 56 MPH (another European legacy) which the lorry drivers have a reasonable expectation of maintaining. |

Dublin is mental. When I see a Dublin number plate I stay well clear. |

Come to Kent. They don't move when the lights change because they haven't finished checking the phone! |

Well I always thought Egypt was bad: donkey carts coming the wrong way along the fast lane of a motorway, driving with lights off at night to save the battery.
But all that was surpassed by Naples, which just seemed like a city sized demolition derby. |

The road down to Gobowen ?"
Yes it's terrible, all roads to Gobowen are terrible and Gobowen itself is terrible to drive around |

Paris, Rome and large segments of the eastern bloc have driving standards I never want to experience again, obviously many developing nations are absolute chaos too, but driving standards in Milton Keynes still wind me up |

I try and do my driving early each morning or out of rush hour. Bad drivers every now and again but not as many since I no longer commute. The large 'suv' vehicles seem to go faster than is necessary. Not noticed a specific area of bad drivers though. |

Totally disagree
Paris is as congested as London, the Parisian drivers ignore the junctions, traffic lights, right of way etc etc and just jostle their way through.
But the traffic moves, it flows and everyone gets on with it. It’s hugely traumatic for the non Paris driver, but an hour or two of experience there, you soon get used to it.
Nobody is asleep at the wheel, or messing with their phones, everyone is in survival mode and a high state of alert, we should all be like that and there’d be less accidents on the roads.
