I always sign my messages with my name and a kiss or two but someone has said that it makes it rather formal and that a kiss was more informal. What do people do, what do you feel is formal or informal as I kind of feel a bit uncomfortable not putting my name. He felt that as we were chatting there was no need to put my name and after all, when you send a text, you don't put your name on it do you, so I see his point there but still, doesn't feel right not putting:

I think it's a woman thing with the x at the end. Tho I have seen lots of dudes doing it. The only person who gets one off me in any sort of message or text is little h. Where she gives them to anyone |

It is more that I put my name at the end of a message not the kisses that was the reason he made his comment |

Struggling to see his problem here, so many important things to consider and he picks up on this. Carry on doing what you like doing and if it's a problem for him he is at liberty to look elsewhere but if he's this fussy about how you sign a message off God knows what he'll be like about stuff that really matters. |

I always sign off J and one or two kisses, reason being on the couple account I thought it made sense to, so people knew which half was answering.
Continued it on this account as well, I think it adds a personal touch imo. |

In a first message I always sign it so the recipient knows it's me rather than the wife. After that if I get into a conversation I don't bother, but if it's going well a X or two might get inserted. |

I thought that too some messages I get I don't even get a kiss, almost like they are going to say something else but changed their mind or clicked too soon.
Makes sense with a couple though |

Kisses on messages is something I used to do without thinking
I noticed I had sent some thanks but no thanks messages but stuck kisses on the end , so stopped with them.
On an initial message I usually put my name, well stef, then if chat continues, I normally drop to signing off with just 's x'
I got used to using just s, as it is my first initial but also (on another site) it was also my role. |

I have caught myself out on this before, in a work way, I had been emailing M, had it still open as not finished..
The bank business manager emailed me, to arrange a meeting, so I banged off a reply and at the end, added I love you and lots of kisses |

Memo to me, next time I email the electrician, about this silly house rewire; I'll put something interesting on the end.
Something like, 'my new underwear and low cut tops came today x x'
I might actually get a response then |
