I've had good and bad experiences with them. No problems up until last year.
The hotel was filthy and didn't provide the breakfast I'd already paid for. Booking wouldn't do anything. Not even refund the breakfasts.
It was only 2 nights so we stuck it out but I wish I'd had the patience and energy to fight our corner at the time.

Hit and miss
Couple of trips were fine, another planned trip to the US b4 covid cancelled our plans, the hotel took 2 payments off my visa and then after a couple of months asking for refunds, they closed their account and I couldn't get hold of them.. complained through booking and eventually Booking refunded me £1600
Always try to read reviews elsewhere as we noticed the reviews for the hotel we booked had similar words, didn't take a genius to work out they were fake reviews. |

Yes, definitely worth doing this. And always street view the area as we got stung once in Paris with a hotel nowhere near as nice as we envisaged. That said in years of using them that is only 1 of 2 bad experiences and most hotels have matched the views |

I’ve used them and air bnb but if I like a place when I stay there I will obtain the owners direct contact details and usually get a better price for any return visit. |
