A 1976 Datsun Cherry with full vinyl interior. It was like sitting on the surface of the sun in summer.
Drum brakes, thinnest wheels I've ever seen on a car - the speedo was one of those ones with the little stick that moved across left to right and it was dead slow.
A death-trap in the wet, you could get it sideways at about 25mph, and I once crashed it up the back of a Range Rover whilst not paying attention and looking at girls.
I sold it to a traveller for £60. |

A truly terrible, banged up old Austin Mini Mayfair (I think my young mind was being aspirational). It was slightly brown outside and very brown inside, only 1000cc but drove it to the max everywhere.
I’m 6’1” but still managed several liaisons in that little chariot of independence.
RIP you fabulous little bastard. |

A cream 1970s Mini panelvan. I carpeted the back; side walls too. I had steel plates welded underneath to replace the floor, which was partly rusted away. I sealed it with a layer if anti-rust and a layer of fibreglass and resin.
Then I hardly used it because my gf had a pocket rocket 1600cc Opel Kadett, and preferred to do the driving - which tells you about our relationship.

Chrysler avenger, a right bag of spanners but I loved it, chassis went while I was at Sandhurst (just a grunt not a Rupert) sold it for scrap and the wife received a letter saying it had been found abandoned on ornamental grass land in Hampshire while I was on exercise in Germany. |

"Oh dear best way for hackers to get hold of information.
Shhhh don't tell everyone my cunning plan. "
Having trouble with just the car's if would be so kind as to put your mother's maiden name as well it's much appreciated. |

A corsa
You had to hold onto the passenger side door sometimes because it would just open randomly and the window wipers would get stuck in the middle of the windscreen it was a rough ride. |

A mk1 Renault Clio. 1 litre engine, 4 forward gears (manual) and no rev counter
It died in Edinburgh where I drove it from London to visit a girlfriend and ended up being towed into a side street by the police and was sold to a garage (it needed a new engine) to cover the air fare home
Fond memories |

"Morris Minor pick up
"
Quite a rarity. I only ever saw a few.
I had a Traveller, with the exterior woodwork. with hindsight I would have kept it forever but misguidedly thought I hadn't got room for more than one vehicle. |

Vauxhall Corsa 1.4l in my limited experience I thought a 1L wouldn’t be be that powerful. 18 years on I have a Ford Fiesta 1L and it’s brilliant on the petrol and can move like a beast! |

"1980 mini clubman for my 16 th birthday. Had to have the drivers seat repositioned as I couldn't drive it "
I’m the same
Have to put a smaller steering wheel and move the seat back further than it goes on a mini. Otherwise my legs stop me turning the wheel |

The pick up body had long rusted away so I replaced it with a steel frame wooden base and sides "Beverly Hillbillies" style
I also had one with a Rover v8 and jag back axle...but never got that on the road |
