Following the favourite car thread it made me think about car names and the reason behind them .
What's yours called and why?
Then I remembered a guy years ago on the forums who possibly loved his car too much. So I had to go search for this ..
Tootsie!

Somewhere off the edge of the map... 'ere there be monsters |
No, I've never named any of my cars. Actually, I only ever named what was going to be my first ever car, a silver Peugeot 106, used, from somewhere in Scotland. I named it The Highlander. It never became mine in the end, however... |

The little mgf that is a wedgewood edition and is a little rough around the edges is Mrs Potts. From beauty and the beast (ie wedgewood china)
The gtv is Tony spark ( its in iron-man red with gold wheels) and says T spark on the rear.
The 916 spider is blue.... so my daughter had named him Peter.. obviously a spider so named after Peter Parker. |

My Vauxhall is called Little Colin
...
And my Peugeot is Little Percy
I normally make a name from the numberplate but not this time, Colin just looks like a Colin and Percy just looks like a Percy |

I've always named my camper vans . Carrie the Camper used to carry me, the kids and all our stuff on holiday. I now wander about in Wanda.
I've not named my car yet, but I've only had it a week. |

We both have fairly soulless lease cars for everyday use which we don't name, but we also have a 1969 Morgan Plus 8 which we take to car shows, and trips round the forest to the out-of-the-way pubs for lunch in the summer. We call those "days out with George". |

*swoon*"
Lovely car, horrible to drive unless you've got a bit of speed No power steering so low-speed manoeuvring sometimes needs 2 of us to haul on the wheel. |

Oh I just remembered the Purple Peril, so named because it was death defyingly dangerous (all we could afford at the time). The speedometer didn't work so you had to guess how fast you were driving
