Why is men and women's sexual activity seen so different to many people still.
Men are studs but women are sluts. It's a tale as old as time but in 2023 you'd think that view would be somewhat disbanded.

I'm very sexual person. I always have been ,I despise the term slut and certainly don't fins it a turn on .
I'm just me . I know that sadly some men still have narrow minds and double standards when it comes to sexually confident women but that's on them not me .
My ideal relationship is that best friends who can't wait to rip each others clothes off and for that to last way past any honeymoon period. Sadly my dating experience over the years has shown me that men give up on that too soon or they really don't know what to do with me after a while and I get bored.
I genuinely feel there's a view that unless you're built like a model and under 30 a women who loves and demands good and fulfilling sex is seen as a bad thing or just a novelty but not actually relationship material.
We need to stop seeing owning our sexuality and knowing what we want as a bad thing. |

I've had 10 sexual partners in total throughout my life and 6 of those have been through fab in the last 6 years.
I can only think of 2 male colleagues who had multiple partners and everyone else referred to them as dicks.
They were certainly never seen as role models or studs. |

Womwns ability to get a man and have sex is way easier and has more chance of happening that a man. Men have to work a lot harder and do more to attract t a woman than a man.

As said - this is one person's view.
Of course there are others with the same opinion but if you place no value in someone's viewpoint or opinion and view it just as a worthless set of words, either spoken or typed on a screen, then it loses any power over you.
If you don't care at all for the person giving the opinion then let it float over your head and give it no worth. It can't affect you then.
Easier said than done of course but if you learn to do it it then it makes life far happier and significantly less stressful.

Women more often have a higher set od demands that actually see them being attracted to the top 10 to 20% of men. These are the players the rest of us are not going to have that much of a body count.

Hi OP,
I think you hit the nail on the head when you said it’s a tale as old as time.
If you think back to when homosapiens first lived and compare that to 200 years ago, did men really treat women all that differently? It was still a world ruled and governed by men (some exceptions apart) and those thousands of years of behaviour still reside in our instincts.
Things have evolved over the last two hundred years, but not as much as they should have. Even back in the 1950s chauvinism was accepted.
Happily, things have moved on, still not as much as they should have, but the pace of change is accelerating exponentially.
Of course, in a modern world, the vast majority of men learn their behaviour from decent parents and develop into decent adults with balanced views. I see Fab as a cross section of our society, albeit highly skewed because of the nature of the site. Sadly, I think you will continue to see for a long time to come, the kind of narrow minded misogyny that drives the gender gap.
It will always be the vocal minority who propagate those views and it is often done in the most loud and insensitive manner. The vast majority of folk do not accede to those views but you will only ever hear from us on the subject when it is raised. I hope that in time to come, it won’t even need to be raised. It will be accepted the noisy few are ignorant.
That all being said, in a (mostly) civilised society, how much further on are we against homophobia and racism? Ageism, disableism, xenophobia etc etc.
I doubt the gender gap will close in our lifetime, but it is right that we bring attention to it. |

One of my absolute favourite people is a self confessed slut.
Life is too short to care about the judgements from people with different ideas on standards of morality.
I will never understand why they care so much, if it's not them involved or it isn't harming anyone.
