Sex addiction is something not often mentioned when discussing general addiction issues. People who have an addiction to sex are very often told how ‘lucky’ they are to have high libidos and their partners are encouraged to make use of the increased sex drive as much as possible.
The truth behind sex addiction, however, is as dark as it is with any kind of addiction. |

Extremely dark, and there’s a distinct misinterpretation of “loving sex and having as much as you can” and being “addicted”.
Addictions are life changing, and cause serious health issues.
There needs to be far more discussions around sex addiction, but also addictions in general. They’re hugely misunderstood

"So true It’s a Rabbit hole of trying to control
But it’s Like a drug needs to be more Help there must be plenty out there ,
Takes over my thinking some days , Madness
" I have no reason to doubt you ... I would suggest you seek help. SLAA maybe?
Any addiction can be destructive and often suggest you have some trauma or something missing from your childhood that is being covered up.
But also, addiction doesn't define you. It's often serving a purpose. It's maladaptive but it's seeking to do some good in a strange way.

" I just enjoy sex and am fortunate to be able to find it easily.
Ah, not as easy for men.
More time would consumed searching."
I'm more than happy to be celibate rather than settle for mediocrity. But I'm extra lucky to have my partners |
