The old gearbox did nearly 127k miles before it started to go funny.
Got a new gearbox fitted, collected the car this afternoon, drove about 5miles this evening to do a bit of shopping, and the gearbox packed up, and would not let me go into any gear except the second!
I had to call the AA out, left the car at work, and took a taxi home
There will be a lot of red faces at the garage where the new gearbox was fitted I can assure you!
And it is not due to the way I drive! |

cough cough.... saying nothing more about 'British' cars..... most of mine was running on replacement parts at only eight months old |
