Charity boxing?

Hi all

Has anyone taken part in the ultra charity boxing things before?

I've been asked through work and friends if I want to take part and now I'm in the quandary as to whether or not to do it?

So I'm interested has anyone done it? What were your experiences and do you recommend it?

Get your cardio up as much as possible. Watch videos on YouTube. Keep your guard up. Double jabs put people off so you can land a strong cross then follow up with one in the ribs

I have on a couple of occasion, 2 things I'd recommend are:

Try and find out who this "charity" match is against. My 1st time I didn't know till the day and he'd been boxing years and there wasn't anything charitable about it in the end. Good scrap though.

Get as fit as you possibly can, it's hard trying to not get hit, breathe, move your feet and punch all at the same time.

Other than that good luck, its a fun experience

So I've never boxed a day in my life I'm more of a mixed martial arts back ground to be honest

And it seems the others that have already signed up have done this thing a few times.....

I'm not averse to being knocked about but I don't wanna just be a catchers mitt if I'm being honest.

Most people are saying you end up having to fork out quite a bit of cash??? Is this true?
