My friends travelled 40 miles one way to pick a takeaway tonight.

Am I the only one who thinks that's just crazy.

I genuinely considered driving to one I’ve been to that was JUST epic, 8 miles away. It’s Molly’s fault for starting that curry thread. I talked myself out of it in the end and had salmon (yes, you’re right, totally bullshit Friday dinner)

It must of been cold by the time they got home.

Ten mile round trip. That's how far away the nearest takeaway is to where I live. And the nearest grocery shop, too.

Zero miles...

I can rustle something up from the freezer quicker than take-out.

Sure they didn’t stop off a swing club? I have everything in walking distance apart from Greek cuisine

Depends upon my Taste buds as I have a Chinese takeaway less than 5 minutes walk but a drive about 15 minutes I have the full choice of everything

50 - 25 miles to two of North Manchester's best dogging sites, now and again a detour of 2 miles then some dogging time before heading home again in the early hours.

It's bonkers.

I couldn't be arsed to do that.

Much more fulfilling to make yer own stuff. I do. I have not bought take away stuff since pre- covid...

I don't, I can cook better food then the takeaway can offer, healthier and tastier.

Surely the point is they deliver to you????

Unless you’re on the way back from the pub.

If I want my favorite fish and chips then I drive 70 miles each way but we do eat it at the beach and make a day of it .

I live quite out of the way of most things so the closest decent Chinese is about 15 miles away and sadly nothing delivers to us!

When I lived in the city takeaway was a thing. Now I don’t, it isn’t. I cook.

MK

About 20 mins each way.

But usually drive 10 mins to them.

Prefer to drive than order by delivery or app.
