Usually instantly. However at times I may see it and read it but unable to give time toward replying at that moment and come back to it later.
Sometimes I forget and the reply is delayed
I don't always sit and check messages though. |

Agreed, if it’s there and I like what I see I’m not one to play around! I can’t stand the whole read back to unread runaround… if peeps are genuine I wanna respond as if I respect peoples time which I inherently do  |

Sometimes I'll wait. Not because I'm playing games but because I'm aware I'm not in the right headspace to give something the attention and thought it deserves.
And then sometimes I'll forget to go back and reply at all because I'm a dickhead  |

From a couples perspective…
If it’s someone new or it’s a request from a friend to arrange something I’ll wait until we’ve both had the opportunity to discuss together.
If it’s general message chat or questions about my beautiful penis from someone I want to talk to then I’ll respond quickly.
If it’s mail for Henriette I’ll inform her and she’ll respond when she feels like it which usually depends on if she has any interest in the person as she doesn’t generally look at fab.
Our inbox currently has a vast amount of unopened messages as I just can’t be arsed to respond to stuff that were not interested in. |

We have 11 unread messages. The oldest is 2 weeks old and the newest arrived today.
We don't reply in any rush if it's a message about meeting, as it's clear in our profile that nothing is ever done in a rush and we make it clear when we can and want to look for meets.
Messages from friends generally get answered same day, but as a couple we're not always together and if one reads a message without the other present it's easy to forget to mention it to the other half - everyone has more important life commitments after all.
A lot of people moan about delays to messages being read, deleted or replied to. I'd hate to think how much angst there'd be if the site introduced instant messaging as is often requested.
Some people appear to have major issues with patience.

I reply when I can think of something to say or have the time.
I’m not a child that plays games by keeping them hanging. Ffs, be an adult, reply if you want to, don’t if you don’t. |

I reply when I have the time or when I feel like I can put a little effort into replying to a message.
Sometimes is straight away and sometimes it can be a few hours. |

When I receive a message from someone I haven't spoken to before, I'll open it at my convenience or as soon as humanely possible.
With that said, I strive to keep a momentum as long as the dialogue is reciprocal and bidirectional. |

Depends really if it's a new person and they catch my eye and I can reply straight away I will, if I can't I'll put back on unread and try to remember to message back when I can.
If it is someone I am not really interested in, I'll either delete straight away (depending on the message sent, if it's a good one, I'll respond straight away and if there is "fancy a fuck" I'll just delete. |

People who we know: within few hours.
New people : if there’s any interest and close by- few hours gap. If not we either delete or reply saying it’s not our tea.

I ignore most messages I receive
With those I do respond to, as soon as they get sexual, I usually ignore them too
I don't do "dirty talk" or flirting
I would sooner swap some pics, see if there is an attraction and arrange to meet
I am very basic in my approach |
