Hi all, I’ve got a bit of a slump with the gym and just can’t physically motivate myself to get back to the gym…what do you all use to keep yourself motivated for the gym? |

The gym I go to in Durham is where all the uni students go. I play little games in my head, like if someone gets on the treadmill next to mine then I can't get off until they've finished.
Nothing makes a mid 40s man, who is till 25 in his head, work harder than having a fit girl on the treadmill next to you and not wanting to embarrass yourself if front of all the fit young uns |

Haha I would love to do that! Unfortunately I’ve built an entire home gym at mine complete with battle ropes, kettle bells and all sorts! It’s just a case of physically getting up and using the pissing thing! I know its just the first workout and after that it works well but I just enjoy procrastinating so much when it comes to fitness |

I always find the first gym visit/ training the hardest - once I have got over that hurdle, I am back into the swing of things (no pun!
It helps me if one of my close friends joins me for the first session, chatting in between makes it easier. If that is not possible, maybe book a couple of sessions (you can book half hours at most gyms) with a suitable PT? |
