Some good bars and restaurants in Soho, Shoreditch and Hackney. I'm not sure what the City (financial district) is like since lockdown but there were some good bars there- used to be rather busy and lively on Friday evenings

I worked there for a few years. Mine and colleagues favourite was peppers, 10 minute walk from Canary Wharf tube. Good food and beers.
