I bring nocturnal greetings from a hotel in the snowy Welsh borders. I've had a swim and some lovely grub and in the morning, I shall be visiting the Infirmary  Then a coffee date in the afternoon  |

Today - this week in fact - I was in the office, in the City. First time in over 18 months. It feels strange working onsite. But also reverting to the old routine of popping out and grabbing artisan coffee during breaks. |

I had at least two cups of coffee go cold today because I didn't get the chance to drink them. I'm glad they weren't artisan or I'd have been even more fed up.

My company spent a tidy fortune on the entire building, plush sofas, private workspace booths and cubicles, soft furnishings, state of the art videoconferencing rooms, etc etc etc. But the building is devoid of any workers. The culture to work from home remains. Outside, new developments have gone up, flats, apartments, new gastropubs... So it's looking all gentrified to entice everyone back in.
I'm enjoying the fact that I'm getting my 'commute ecercise', averaging 15,000 steps from the usual 5,000. It's a good start to keeping fit. I'm still baulking at paying almost £10 for a Prêt sandwich, crisps and drink!  |
