I read a fair bit on here and there are a lot of haters and some down right nasty and horrible opinions and comments given.
Why? Most are looking for encouragement or helpful advice, even fun chat. Do you genuinely think being what you may call ‘honest’ opinions to be helpful. Do you think those negative and sometimes aggressive opinions help.
Try giving positive thoughts only. Peace, love n harmony. |

I love being challenged with mine.
It allows me to have another perspective that I haven’t necessarily thought of before.
Now, the framing is the most important bit. I love being challenged but not disparaged. |

"Fine line between the 2. It’s easy to challenge without spite or hate."
It literally is easy to do so. Words are important and the way you use them is even more important in my opinion.
It is all about the framing. But no need to sugarcoat anything either.

Fab is escapism for many who have inordinately shitty real lives. We have no idea of what is going on behind the text, and We all have the choice on whether to engage or not.
Let live and scroll on past
On another note I'm positively bouncy, as the rain is holding off the snow atm down south |

It's all about the tone of the op as well or their own forum history.
If they have a habit of shitstirring they can't really be surprised if people bite back when they tell others to be kind.
There are also some people who believe that certain fabbers should be immune from criticism just because they have boobs or are productive posters.
It's easy to avoid threads or posters you don't agree with but maybe not so easy if you have personal history with them. |

There are people in such pain that in order to make themselves feel better they drag others down, usually framing it as "just being honest" when pulled on it
They're easily ignored and more to be pitied than anything |

You can express your views and opinions without insult or malice
I can be outspoken and I don't apologise for that. I know I'm not popular because I go against the grain but I'd rather be me an stand by my truth instead of following the path of the sycophant.
If we don't challenge views or offer a different perspective then how can people reflect on behaviours and unfortunately the downside of posting on a public forum is that people will offer alternate views. We can't shut down and neither should we shut down discussions.

I agree, the issue is how it's presented. |

It often requires stepping out of the box and away from our own views too. Seeing both sides at the same time side by side, not from the perspective of one looking over at the other. |

I think I do that though. Not sure if it comes across like that. I respect other views and rarely but sometimes I’ve changed my view. I do have strong opinions on some things though that are unlikely to change but I don’t get personal, I also avoid a lot of topics if I think my opinion could be seen as too controversial. |

Oh absolutely! That's the beauty of debate, you both might learn something and come up with a new opinion. But it's about balance and seeing it from either perspective |

This for me too. Until I see someone get rinsed or insulted then any respect or reasoning has gone |

Yeah definitely. Hate bullying. Even at school I’d wade in and stick up for the bullied ones. |
