to the young girl killed by an idiot being chased by the police. Annoys me how people can be so selfish by driving so recklessly with no regard for public safety. A family torn apart by the actions of a single person.

They should make the driver of the car go and look at the girls body, then they might realise what they done.

Our hearts go out to the girl and more so the parents, the loss of a child is something beyond our comprehension.

Awful

"But uk law.. The punishment never fits the Crime"

Very true..the driver can expect a couple of sore wrists!

Makes me laugh when I read the news this morning 'being caught with an illegal taser type gun carries a maximum sentance of 10 years in prison'...

Yeh so what????..lots of crimes 'carry' big maximum sentences, but they never seem to be delivered.

The driver of that car should get 15 minimum..

Inconsiderate pigs who drink drive should lose their license for 10 years first offence, life ban for the second one and their cars sold and the money raised given to victims and or their families..

250 quid fine and a years ban (depending on the judge of course) what the fuck is that all about???

central scotland

In some American states in situations like this is the car not in the same class as a gun and therefore the culprits can get life without parole?

And yet the press seem to feel the need to point out that the car which crashed was being pursued by a police car, seemingly trying to stir up some sort of blame towards the officers.

The poor police officers in the car will be totally distraught, question if what they did was correct, and will never forget this terrible accident.

The tosser who was driving the crashed car will have his identity protected, will probably steal cars, and drive totally pissed once again after his minimal punishment.

I makes me so so angry. If it was my daughter I'd what to kill him with my bare hands. Hope he has nightmares every night, and that the rest of his life is hell on earth!
