Even though I'm into photography, I never take selfies. I just can't bring myself to do it! But when you're on dating apps, I guess you just have to!
So here's my first selfie in years! (profile pic and latest pics) The last one I took was when I dressed up in a suit. And that doesn't happen often.
Are many other guys the same?
Does anyone have good ideas for future selfies?

Not that it’s a dating site as such but nice pose you have lovely blue eyes 
Since it’s the same for some women that don’t like selfies it helps to jump in pics with friends if out drinking since someone is always snapping away. That way you can crop the picture at a later date hey presto you have a pic Happy snapping x |

Not that it’s a dating site as such but nice pose you have lovely blue eyes

Disclaimer... my eyes aren't really that blue... but I guess women use filters etc so I thought I'd add saturation to my eyes a bit x |

I've always been self-conscious about selfies. I hate doing them. I find the actual process artificial and contrived, taking away any 'naturality' when doing the pose: holding the phone/camera at arms length or on a tripod or selfie-stick.
When someone else takes your photo at least there is a two-way interaction to make you feel relaxed and composed.
And, being mediocre in looks doesn't help either!

I would take mediocre looks lol! Yeah I think photos are better taken by someone else. Looks loads more natural |

I can count one one hand the amount of selfish I have taken, I feel like a complete mug trying to take them, I am no great fan of having my picture take full stop, but strangely enough I love making home made porn, as long as I know its only for home use |

Whenever I try to take selfies its absolutely shocking... I mean, I follow it up with messages like 'I'm not really cross-eyed', or 'I don't really have a lazy eye'....
Truth be told I've apparently got really nice green eyes but not sure how to take a pic of them on self? X |

I guess I cannot talk for guys as such
But selfies, as you say are a bit of a must for this site.
Now I am no expert and my photos aren’t brilliant but I kind of put them into two categories for me :
1. Totally posed, with only me in the pic, where my makeup is as good as it can be, I have my corset pulled so tight I can last in the pose for only a few minutes before I am loosening it all off so I can actually breath! Or..
2. Where I am out and about in bars or on the street. My makeup may not be perfect ( I have usually had a few drinks, and if I have been lucky a few snogs!) and my corset is loose enough so I can walk, sit and go to the loo without breaking ribs!
I guess the first type are for my own vanity and the second type are to prove that I do actually go out and meet people.
To me, when guys take selfies, if they look happy, kind and clean, then that is enough. A guy with kind eyes and a smile goes a long way
For the record I think your profile photo looks great.. you look a little self conscious, but you look kind.
Set your phone to take twenty photos with three seconds sun between and pretend you are a catwalk model, then after photo three, realise how daft that is and just have a bit of a laugh at yourself … but stay still when the image is taken or it will just look blurred … you might get two or three photos that look great… after a bit of cropping  |
