Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I hope at least some of this is based on the real story - it is fascinating. He supported the Women's Suffrage movement and allowed women to have managerial roles long before others did.

He changed the way that we shop. All shops and department stores are still based on the Selfridges model.

John Spedan Lewis is my other retail hero of that time. Profit sharing and welfare for workers.

Butchers? Waitrose? I don't do offal but I'm sure I have seen tongue in both places. Although Selfridges food hall is lovely.

nope...we have a farm shop near us who send their own lambs to slaughter and we ask them year after year for lamnbs tongues but they never get them for us.

i think a local butcher might be sorting us out soon lol

you can get ox tongue in supermarkets but rarely lambs tongue which is a shame cos its yummy

I will watch both Ripper street and Mr Selfridge on demand, when there are three or four to watch then make my mind up.
