When in your life someone comes
When in your life they make you smile
When in your life they stop the tears
When in your life they are just there
Few people in life that make your day
When you lay in your bed no care
When darkness just has no end
There are sometimes that one friend
They make you laugh
They make you smile
They make you cry
They bring that glint to
your eye
No matter where no matter when
Day or night dark or light
They are there helping your fight
Be it day or be it night
When you wallow in self-pity
When tears run from you no reason why
When be it dark or light you cry
Those friends there to dry your eye
Give gratitude for that
Give thanks for them
Give gratitude each day
A friend is there no matter what |
