At girls who wear glasses?
After years of kidding myself I've finally been told I need to wear glasses. Not just for reading but all the time.
I find men who wear glasses very attractive. How do you feel about four-eyed people? |

One of the reasons I never wore glasses before was because they looked so awful. Modern styles are so much better. |

I don't wear mine when I go out in the evening or meet for fun, as I am only wearing them to balance them out without stressing one or the other eye.
However, I have had success in the past meeting life partners while wearing my glasses.

I love choosing different frames to suit different outfits and give me either the sexy secretary or brave and bold looks.
Try contact lenses-you can get multifocal contact lenses too!

Really?! I wonder why?! I mean the no contacts-not the touching your eye! That's common and loads of people get over it as they're that determined not to wear specs!
Enjoy shopping for frames!
I love my designers, it's the only bit of catwalk I can afford to own and I feel dead posh when I wear them in a nice restaurant! |

I think glasses add extra sexyness the sexy secretary springs straight to mind just looking at her bent over the desk in the office wearing a pencil skirt and low cut top while looking over the top of her glasses screaming come and get me big boy |

It is strange when you start wearing glasses and yes I worried what others would think. Once people have become used to seeing you wear them then there is nothing to worry about.
If i fancy a lady then I don't care if she wears them or not. |

I prefer glasses. It has been known in the past that I've asked a partner to wear them for playtime |

"are they the ones that make ur eyes look massive like looking thru a goldfish bowl ? mmmm sexy "
I'm short sighted, so they make my eyes look even tinier than they are. Not the greatest look hence I prefer wearing contacts (multifocal ones now cos of my age).
However I still can't focus really close up so if I'm meeting at home I tend not to wear anything - then I can see my meet in lots of detail when they're inches from my face |

Not everyone is able to wear contact lenses. This is because it is easier to pick up infections when touching your eyes. Also taking out contact lenses can sometimes lead to small scratches on the cornea and if you get an infection then scarring can occur which in time will cause deterioration to the eyesight.
Some people don't get problems but others do. I cannot wear contact lenses because I've had corneal ulcers.
I like my glasses. I don't see they make me look much different. I like different colours etc and frames. A small square frame suits me but I've seen guys in round frames who look very sexy indeed. Whatever the frame is like, if it suits your face then go for it, don't follow trends and only stick to what everyone else is wearing as our faces are all different shapes |

The optician said my eyesight in one eye is so bad that he is starting me off slowly then updating my prescription a bit at a time, so contact lenses won't be any good for me.
I am actually looking forward to the shopping for frames and will make sure I like them, seeing as I am the one who has to look at them every day. |

I was being very nosey when enquiring why Wyrdwoman couldn't wear CLs-probably too nosy!
And yes-I wouldn't recommend them if you've had a history of corneal ulcers.
No reason why you would pick up more infections if you're a CL wearer with proper hygiene and changing into/out of them in a clean environment. Dailies are the best for hygiene.
I can see why people get squeamish but in my experience problems are extremely rare and only wearers who overwear and don't change their CLs and storage pots and solutions when they should get issues.

Enjoy frame shopping! Take piccies of yourself on your phone so you can compare different looks in different shops! There are some lovely looks out there at the moment, I spotted some Chopard frames in London and they were purple with white gold sides-gorgeous! |

My daughter needs some new specs too and already has got her heart set on some Ray-Bans. She did look cute in them.
I'll be popping a face pic on here when I have them. I guess it could be worse. I had an AMD test at the same time as my Mum has it and that was clear. |

I would like to think that most people are not daft enough to put lenses in and out without washing their hands and using a sterile surface top do so. Of course some people do.
Women tend to have longer fingernails and when taking out lenses you can scratch the surface of your eye. Its these tiny abrasions which can eventually lead to problems. Also the quality of the lens makes a difference. Cheaper lenses can be an irritant to the eye and contact lens wearers should always go for the more expensive lenses. and of course eye make up can also be rubbed or flake into the eye etc and all these things can cause infection. It isn't as simple as ensuring your hands are washed and the lenses are cleansed properly.
Lots of people get on well with lenses and never have a problem, but it is not true that problems with lenses are extremely rare. There are lots of people who cannot wear lenses. |
