"Been to lakeside many times , he the only player who loves himself and wouldn't sign autographs for the kids "
He was happy to get his photo taken with me and we chatted for quite a while. I found him good natured. |

"i have been watching it, and keep trying not to compare it to the PDC stuff...
no offence... its not very good....
You want to come and watch my team then "
Lakeside is the funniest place I've ever been to. I swear Phoenix Nights was based on it...owner called Potter with a limo on permanent standby, just in case. Terrible copy of the painting of the Sistine Chapel ceiling in the atrium ! Tacky pastimes advertised on a regular basis.
Transplant it Oop North and there you have it
The darts is awful compared to the PDC though. |

I've met a few of the old faves over the yrs the best was Dennis Priestly my friends knew him. We popped to their house at met him, he was so friendly. Later we all went to a rival community centre for a darts match omg the look on the other teams faces thinkin we had taken a ringer lol. He signed autographs let anyone take his pics had a cuppa and chatted. After he played games against people it was a great nite. |

watched the late round up last night and "Family Guy" was on. Decent player though.
Anastasia was on too against Elaine Farnly?? Elaine's a nice looking lady for a darts player. Both the ladies played better than most of the blokes I've watched in this tournament.
Anastasia's putting a few pounds on. She was gorgeous last time I saw her on tv. |

near the sounds of the wimborne quarter jack! |
I went for the last two days in the end! Great experience and was greatly surprised at how many of the players used the main entrance to go into the venue as opposed to sneaking in the back like you`d expect them to, even if they were playing that day. Most were more than happy to pose for pictures and spent considerable time doing so. Sadly, I was not there for the match of the week with in my opinion was the 1/4 final between Ritchie George and Deckker. The final was very one sided and I was so surprised that was the only action of the day. Would have thought they could have some juniors playing or allow the public to be able to have a go as a warm-up to the main event.
Have to agree about the guy who owns the venue bigging himself up. He even has his own book on sale in the gift shop! |
