I have just read an interview where Lucy Wilde (retired porn star) where she stated that she never liked doing porn.
It got me pondering why do something you don't enjoy doing especially as porn can limit you doing other work. So why do porn. I can understand not enjoying ones work as a means only to an end but if you doing sex on camera and don't enjoy it why do it as a profession giving how it can limit potential future career opportunities in other spheres? |

But I'm guessing the answer is 'a fuck ton of money' ?
I doubt any porn star plans on doing it til they're 60 and it's one way of making a quick buck, particularly if you lack qualifications or other skills. Although I'm not for one minute suggesting all porn stars lack those.

Is she the one with the enormous chesticlé? I’ve watched a few of her vids and she was the most miserable looking woman ever. I believe she also started out by saying she’d only ever fuck her bf, which then changed.
I guess she just got talked into it and then talked into each step onwards from there. Easily done if you feel popular and are making sacks of cash. |

Money.
I couldn't do porn as I couldn't fake enjoying sex but it's a way of using your body to earn money which we all do in one way or another. The people who actively enjoy their job are the lucky ones |

Unlikely to be 'disinterested' as they stand to make money from the occupation.
Indifferent, maybe bored, perhaps nonchalant or just plain uninterested.
Most are usually good at it, otherwise nobody would watch it! |

Why would you do a job that is potentially limits your career opportunities in other professions such as teaching, medical, law (yes some countries if you have done porn automatically disqualifies you from working in those feilds), uni lecturer ( depending on the field), councillor etc. Unless you really liked doing it they you are willing to take the hit if it did not work out and you have plan b c etc. |

I've worked in the industry and can pretty much say that most,if not all are doing it just for the money that they can make. |

Of course. Realistically I think that some genuinely love it but others treat it as a means to an end. A bit like Sylvester Stallone didn't make the Rocky films because he loves boxing.

I can speak for me and when I say disinterested I mean zero interest.
I haven't watched porn in years and couldn't tell you the name of any porn stars.
I have 50 odd adult channels as part of my iptv package and out of curiosity one night I scrolled through them. Every single one was a carbon copy of the others.
I've no idea why people would choose to work in the porn industry but I can't imagine it's just because they enjoy sex as it's pretty obvious that it's a tough environment. |
