As much as I love the show, it has a hell of a pacing issue.
Also I really was not invested in the how of Ellie. (I'm keeping spoilers minimal) mostly because I already knew how and it is not the griping part of the Joel and Ellie journey which is what makes the story what it is. |

Is it disappointing because you love the game?
I've never played the game, hate disaster/ zombie movies, but I look forward to it every week. |

Yes and no. I'm at peace with it won't ever live up to the game's version of the story for me. A large part of why the game "works" is you go on the journey and see more of the bond between the two form, you see the little details during the game play. You kind of form a bond with them since you go on that journey too in a way. The show rushes the bond in comparison. Too much time spent on none Joel & Ellie stuff.
However the show certainly does do the game's story justice, even with the changes. I enjoy watching it. Some of the stuff though takes away from the Joel and Ellie journey.
Episode 3, an amazing crafted episode of a TV show. But it did almost nothing to further the main story. Same for this weeks, though this one had nothing on episode 3 though it did contribute to part of Ellie's character, didn't really progress the journey much.
Stand alone the show is amazing. Compared to the game's version of the story, for me, it lacks. But that does not make it bad.
If that makes sense. |

Simple answer play the game. The show is no where near as good as the original proper experience. |

"Is there nudity?
I’m only interested if there’s nudity "
Its a game about surviving an infected outbreak that nigh on ended the human race. It does not need nudity. But HBO probably put it in there anyway because why not it sells. |

Yes that makes sense. Your descriptions seem to be making it more enjoyable as you're giving some game back story. Thank you. |
