Is it just me or are the number of stupid/nonsense threads on the increase ?
I mean the ones with no point or the protagonist is just attention seeking. |

I've not done one for a few days!
Honestly though, without all the attention seeking pointless threads the forum would be even more monotonous because all you would have is the random thought provoking thread that pops up now and again.
The usual controversial thread that gets repeated about 20 times a week.
Or the ever pressent "poster above" threads.
Then of course now and again you got the reliable weekly threads (face pic Friday etc) and a Nora secret service.
Attention seeking pointless threads keep the place fresh! |

I mean the title of the thread being, for example, ‘Potato’ and the OP then posts ‘Discuss’.

Many people come here to have a laugh and maybe make some friends in the process, the more serious threads tend to attract the more negative responses, oh and many guys like to constantly push the sex related threads aimed at women because they can't get meets or replies to messages in the hope that the women notice them...... Ahh ok - could just be someone trying to get some interaction I guess - it can be difficult to even get a reply on here we know that so maybe it’s just a ‘ hey im here talk to me ‘ thread - if it helps someone to know my thoughts on potatoes… fire away…. Theres plenty of posts I ignore already  |

The only ones I really can't stomach are the 'Should I stay or should I go' threads. Not only does it put a song in my head for 30 minutes, the answer is always a resolute 'go'

What’s the alternative?
Threads that turn into full blown arguments that ends up with everyone blocking everyone else before they realise their block list is longer than my penis (3 names should do it just for prospective) or no one posting anything for fear of bringing attention to themselves?

There are some very heavy discussion threads which are nonsense in my opinion so it's all subjective.
This site is a hobby not a lifestyle for me.
I don't live here and when I visit it's to escape the daily grind so I'm not going to contribute to any of the hand grenade threads.
I agree there are some idiotic conversations but I don't take part in those either usually because they are started by annoying twats.
