With putins special war in Ukraine going into it second year and us western countries giving more weaponry to Ukraine as we should what happens if the actual shit hits the fan? How will the woke culture cope, if we have to hide down below in bunkers for years because of the nuclear bombs who has built in them/they bathrooms and other such equipment. Yes this post may be frivolous or a joke but the premise is real. |

He doesn’t have to have enough to nuke everyone. He has circa 1600 ready to launch, and a further 3500 stockpiled. If he could target the US Midwest and Ukraine with nuclear weapons, that would have the largest global impact.
With mutual assured destruction, as it would be if any nuclear weapon was launched, the nuclear fallout would cause widespread radiation sickness and the radiation in the atmosphere would likely change the world climate, essentially causing a “nuclear winter”. |

When I lived in Stevenage a few years back, there was sign in the town center. It said Stevenage I'd a nuclear free zone. Judging by the age of the sign, I thought it might be cold war related. Quick Google search and I found it meant the council refused to take part in any nuclear attack drills and alike. Bit of useless info for you there.

When the Ukraine war kicked off, some of our students asked us where the nearest bomb shelters are in Manchester. Aside the basement of the building housing the college, we couldn't answer the question. The hotel across the road might have a decent basement too. But we have no shelters. No underground etc. We'd be toast.

The world only have around 10K war heads and about 3K that could he used , out of those the number of long range warheads that will actually work , not be intercepted and reach targets is 47 …. So I wouldn’t panic if you live outside london congestion change zone |

If I'm honest, I think it's one of those nebulous buzz phrases that are thrown about without much thought, much like "race card." (Do people actually get issued a card I wonder?).

Sadly he doesn't have to have enough. He fires, then the Yanks fire back, as to we and any other NATO country with nukes. Then the Chinese because some of the Nukes the Yanks fire will be pre-emptive ones aimed at them.
Models show roughly 200 - 300 nukes should do it, global wipe out. 100s of millions dead in the initial wave, then the secondary wave (everyone's defence systems will be fried by the initial attack) will take care of everyone else.
The aftermath. Total crop failures worldwide, poisoned water table worldwide, nuclear winter.

I imagine people using they/them pronouns are a lot more hardy than the opening poster has given them credit for. After all they have to deal with people like the opening poster on a daily basis belittling their very being and then hiding their hatred behind a pretend, I'm only joking line. |

I live on top of Heathrow Airport with Northolt a few miles away.
So whatever happens I doubt u will be around longo enough nor woukd I bother to hide in a bunker.
Anyway putin ordering a Nuclear war isn't that simple. He would in like hood be executed or disposed of in some way. |

Yes but he has a worrying number of pro soviet union followers. So even if he is dead, someone as bad or even worse will take his place. The world needs another Gorbachov and sadly i dont think it will get one, in time to avoid the kettle boiling over.

A nuke is a nuke. If a bunker can protect you from a 25kt one, it can protect you from a 75mt one. Its all about depth and surface strength. Theres one under a tower block in Sydenham, London which was built for the Iron Lady in 1980. |
