Is any one else sick of the moaning and crying over the Republic of Irelands failure to qualify for South Africa?
For goodness sake there are more important things going on in the world...so What my Henry handled the ball, he still should have been tackled, the keeper still could have saved the shot, and you could have scored more. Deal with it lol |

Yeah, your right, there wasn't this kinda press coverage when Maradona handled the ball against England, its not mentioned more than say 4 or 5 times a day 23 years later |

I dont understand why people moan and moan and moan over events like this, the maradona incident happend, to me it was genius, if the ref doesnt see it and you get away with it then fair enough. Sporting events have enough time to equal themselves out and shouldnt come down to one moment, even if they do they dont deserve this hype when more important issues are happening. I mean it over shadowed Jedward lol |

Its a public perception thing, if the public doesn't complain about unsporting ( cheating maybe) behaviour in sport then it becomes acceptable for cheats to cheat and get away with it ( Edwardo, Arsenal BACKED him??? )
It makes a mockery of the ones trying to compete on a level and fair playing field.

PS, this is all really a smoke screen created by us Scots to deflect attention away from Scotlands atrocious world cup qualifiers performance, ( At least we now know what the SFA in the Scottish Football Association actually means ) its what they KNOW about football ~~~~ S F A !!! |

It's the difference between winning and beating someone fair and square, and only a twat with a rudimentary understanding of that principal would see it any other way.... Still, as an English patriot, I'd rather stuff the crap out of the French next year than the Irish. |

What many seem to not relise is that even if the ref had disallowed the goal Ireland would not have been going to the world cup ...who says they would have scored again who says they would have won a penalty shoot out?
Many games over the years have been won and lost on dodgy refs decisions you cant just suddenly bend the rules because they are Irish ...lol ..is the 1966 WC final to be replayed now ..what about the 1997 FA cup semi final when chesterfield had a good goal dissallowed , the list is endless just get over it Ireland YOU LOST simple as that |
