Basically on Fab atm to fuck the Dad bods until I get back in shape myself. (That is the sex plan, not the fitness one!). Then I'll need them fit, but not obsessively protein shakey, again... I am happy being the least fit person in the bed by a range of margins tho |

"The person inside is far more relevant
Totally agree. But for many it's the initial visual that matters. "
I don’t think that’s unusual though. I couldn’t have sex with someone I’m not physically attracted to. Is that not normal then? |

"Athletic "
It is of course an individual choice and everybody here looks at things differently and chooses to their own needs , it as after all their life ..their choices ..do not choose a particular type because everyone else does , fair play . |

Nope you're not wrong , you're fully correct , you have to be physically attracted to them to fuck them, it's only natural. |

But not for all.
Unless someone is genuinely physically repulsive to me I don't care how they look at the beginning. And I think I've only felt that absolute no a couple of times in my lifetime.
When I know someone enough to be attracted to their personality, their body becomes beautiful to me. |

I think it is normal. So in the context of the thread I'd say that there will be a tendency for women to go for the ripped bods rather than the dad bods. |

And that I think is the key if you're looking to establish a deeper more lasting arrangement with someone. |

Fit bods are lovely to look at but I prefer a guy with a bit of padding over his muscles, I like the squeezy squidgy feel of having my arms full when I cuddle someone so a softer body is my preference. If you look like you belong on the front row of a scrum then you’re for me |

I don't class myself as either.
Don't like the gym culture so I'm not a member. Couldn't stick out for more than a month.
I call myself athletic on here because I promised myself a few years ago I'd never refer to myself as average ever again but I don't run or train at all.
I've never had any complaints or negative comments hence why I've never been too worried about sticking a label on it. |

I agree we are all attracted to certain types but for me their personality is more important than pure physical shape. Just upsets me when people body shame, if you don't like someone's body then just move on, no need to get nasty. |

It's not a competition, although some would have you believe it very much
Preferences considered and despite the cliques, swinging is more inclusive than it is exclusive
There's space here for all of us
We just won't appeal to everyone |

Mr inks body is perfect for me … I would say he is more than athletic….
He has a 6 pack ( doesn’t work hard for it the bugger) gorgeous shoulders and strong arms ….
I’ve not experienced many other males as I prefer females …. But I wouldn’t say no to extra timber but very large men aren’t a turn on for me , I’m also not into very slim men |

If everyone was the same, it would be a very boring world. People on line usually base their opinions on visual images which they would not necessarily do in real life. Face to face, there are plenty of other factors that influence someone's judgement. Not judging but from mere observations there seem to be quite a few people with narcissistic tendencies on here and quite a few followers too as often are on any kind of site like this but each to their own of course |

I disagree. Having seen lots of these threads before. I think you’ll find they don’t "
And I will disagree with you from a male perspective. The males who are fawned over the most are gym fit and ripped

I've been to a handful of group socials and some of the most popular guys there haven't been near a gym in years.
The comment above also about women judging by age rather than body type is so far off the mark too.
I've seen lots of forum comments about being ignored because of their age and yet I'm almost 60 and never once had a conversation on here about my age.
Age and body type are only issues if you continually highlight them yourself and make them an issue. |

I was only really highlighting the fact that some peoples words and actions don’t align.
Obviously Nora is a wonderful exception to this

I feel like these threads only really have two observations:
1. Allows those with dad bods to feel good about themselves knowing women women fancy their type (even if it isn't themselves women fancy)
2. It's more likely for women to comment that they prefer dad bods as it's seen to be less shallow that saying they prefer gym fit bods.
I've also noticed that it's very rarely gym fit men that start these threads... Ok, that's 3 observations. |

I think it's essential for you to be happy within the body that you have. Your personality is important to partners and you'll be more comfortable if you're self-accepting and content within yourself and with your body.
The great thing about life is that it's not static. We can evolve under our own direction. Our physical selves are malleable.
What we often overlook until too late, is our potential loss of health. Cultivation of positive physical and psychological health is priceless. People like that in others. |
