"Fishfingers, proper chips and petit pois with some homemade tartar sauce.
Yes to this How do you cook the chips? Air fryer? "
A catering sized deep fat fryer and grill the fishfingers. I don't make the mayo for the tartar sauce though but I could if I needed to. |

"I was going to make either shepherds pie or spicy mince lamb with rice but kids pulled a face so no idea "
Kids need to learn to eat what’s put in front of them or starve. |

Had an Aldi sweet and sour chicken ready meal.
Was a bit apprehensive but pleasantly surprised. Not at all bad. Good value versus takeaway prices.
Accompanied by spinach, rocket and watercress salad and washed down with Sauvignon Blanc all from the same stable.
Would buy it again and next time might add a few cooked king prawns towards the end of the microwaving cycle.
Lidl's Millionaire's Cheesecake to follow in due course.
Who needs to go out on a Saturday night? |

The cheesecake, accompanied with a splash of Amaretto (from the other German supermarket), went down well after an interim flirtation on the phone with one of my dusky sweethearts.
I crave nothing further. |
