Reports that a lady from a place called Kirby, which is actually an overspill of Liverpool, was prevented from buying 100 cucumbers in lidl due to cucumber rationing. Apparently she makes juices out of them and sells them.
Was the manager correct or should small businesses use wholesalers. It's all over the news |

"Times are tough, from Love Honey to Lidl.. a womans gotta do what a womans got to do."
If they refused to sell her cucumbers she could have gone for some corn on the cob as an alternative.
Nobbly.....for her pleasure.

You’d think if she had a business selling juices she would find herself a producer that could do her a better deal than a Supermarket with no issues as to supply and demand.
Buying 100 from a supermarket is just excessive. |

If she's a real business, she would be eligible for a Makro card or somesuch. It would work out cheaper and simpler to use a wholesaler. This "business" sounds distinctly cash only and unofficial. I see plenty of corner shopkeepers making the most of supermarket offers and selling them on DESPITE the packaging being labeled not for resale. |

Used to have a business and the wholesale price for a block of butter was 50% more than at a standard supermarket and had to buy a full case too. So it is not always cheaper at a wholesaler, although no expert on cucumbers myself. |

I remember a craze a while back where sloots would see how many sharpies they could fit in their arse or flange.
Imagine the gapping fanny on that sloot after she has bashed 100 cuckes! |

It's bloody ridiculous who goes into a supermarket expecting to buy 100 cucumbers. I'm surprise they have 100 in stocks. What's wrong with going to a wholesalers if she uses that many on a regular basis |

"I doubt it's "all over the news"
It's definitely all over the news... Many outlets reporting on the 100 cucumber caper"
