Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

How awful that a woman died after eating Christmas lunch at restaurant in Hornchurch. Thirty other people fell ill.

Just heard that on news , didn't say what bug it was though.

It's one of those difficult to spell and say ones: clostridium difficile. It's quite a common bug and normally just makes you ill.

Clostridium perfringens. Very common. Seldom fatal.

Usually abbreviated to C-Def. It's only usually fatal if the person is in an already weakened state or it manages to get into the blood somehow (open wound or post-op).
