"Yes I know they're from different eras..but often wondered...both in their prime...who would win!
."
Mike Tyson every time…right hook to the body followed by right uppercut….whilst fury’s chin is then exposed…left hook…right uppercut…fury’s leccy Will then be switched off |

Let's not forget that mediocre fighters went the distance with Mike Tyson when he was in his prime.
Mike Tyson once said that athletes have improved.
I say take the athletes from by gone days and put them in a 100 meter sprint with the top athletes of today and none of them would medal. Just look at the records for proof.
Mike Tyson is around 5'10/5'11 and Tyson Fury is 6'9!

I'm gonna buck the trend and say Fury.
Tyson always struggled against fighters with good defences and I think Fury is one of the smartest fighters ever- he knows how to spoil and wouldn't be intimidated like many of Tyson's opponents were. Plus as shown against Wilder Fury has an amazing chin. |

Good points.
I think many of Tysons oponents were beaten by fear before they threw a punch.

But athletes from the past would be better if they were born now. Because they would have same improved diets and training as the athletes of nowadays.
Fury would win. |

Mike Tyson was an animal but against quality opponents like evaders holyfield and lennox Lewis he was exposed. Some might argue he was failing by then.
I go for prime fury beating prime Mike Tyson. Fury ring smart and physically huge |

I'd go with Fury as well. As plenty have said, Tyson struggled when up against the very best. It could even be argued he lost against Lennox Lewis twice because the first Lewis Tyson fight was rigged by the judges and Don King............the second fight though Lewis just stopped him......so no doubt who was best out those two. |

"Fury. Tyson was great but his prime is a myth. He struggled against all the best fighters of his era. His early record was padded with binmen.
Littered with binmen "
I can’t believe I missed that one. |

He only fought Lewis once. He fought Holyfield twice. |
