Not a chance!! Ridiculously hard, dangerous job in oftentimes horrible conditions.

And when people on bumble say to me “what do you do?” I don’t want to tell them I catch crabs.

Tell them you're a marine wildlife collection specialist then. Much more healthy sounding

I think Fisher would suffice in this instance. We don't say Bakerman, or Butcherman.

I'm a Fisher would work.

Exactly. There's no such thing as a Fisherthem.

I can see why a woman might want to be referred to as a Fisher (or

Fisherperson at a stretch), rather than Fisherman.

Eminem, without me. Very specific part of the lyrics applies to this thread.

Not all publicity is good though. It's really starting to be a piss take out of trans/ nb people.

I believe that historically trawler crews refused to have women on the boat as it was considered bad luck.

It was a very dangerous job and men lost their lives to the sea regularly.

There was a very interesting programme on radio 4 regarding this a few weeks ago.

From the top we’re no longer allowed to use the term ‘deadline’. Too aggressive.

It is now to be known as ‘due date’. Email disseminated out yesterday.

So we can’t be aggressive but we can be pregnant?
