Oh macaroni cheese. With lots of different cheese.
And crisp salad that cuts through the richness.
Or ramen.
But my favourite? Piping hot jam roly poly with cold custard. If I'm eating that, I definitely need comfort. |

"Wtf is comfort food"
It’s what keeps you warm on the bus into town.
Salmon encroutes for shoes, hollowed out sausage roll for the old chap, sliced bread held together with spaghetti for the torso, side of beef to sit on and a flan case for a hat. |

If I need comfort food - I need comforting.
Which means I’m not cooking. So my comfort food is something someone else has cooked. One of my daughters’ makes a lovely pasta dish which she invented especially for me when I came out of hospital- so that’s top of the list.
Failing that - takeaway, most likely Chinese. |

"Traditional Polish Christmas Eve food, like my mum used to cook.
We still need to talk about that. Somehow we got distracted the other week …"
Sorry! I promise to focus solely on that topic and do my best to not get distracted next time |

"Today I will be doing one of my top three comfort foods.
Sausage, buttery creamy mash, and onion gravy.
What's your ultimate comfort food? "
That’s my favourite comfort food too. What time shall I come round?
Mrs |

Rochdale/Manchester/Blackpool and were ever the mood takes me |
Anything homemade seems life can take the time out to be able to properly cook for some people these days. Wether it be work or family life, so getting together round the table for food is comforting |

"Ham and pineapple pizza
Apple crumble
Ice cream"
I agree with apple crumble but may also suggest left over apple pie with a few dollops of rice pudding over it. |

Dearest OP, my "comfort food" transcends beyond the food: prelude with a nice autumnal walk, kick some leaves, take in the effervescent air, back indoors in time for the piping hot and satisfying Shepherds Pie, earthy gravy, log fire, a weathered armchair, served up with a glass of the fine stuff and a more'ish bowl of Jam Roly Poly with Madagascan-vanilla custard.
You're invited. |

"Cauliflower cheese
Absolutely adore cauliflower cheese especially with a roast dinner "
My mum had that earlier today.
A shop bought one though, from Tesco.
Which is odd for her, as she always prefers making her own, being quite picky about cooking the cauliflower properly and having the strongest cheese she can buy. |

"Chocolate. I really need to stop the emotional eating though as it's not good for my health or my waistline. "
I've got a big box of choccy upstairs.
Some Creme eggs and caramel eggs, some mini eggs, a bag of Revels, some chocolate pebbles and a bag of peanut M&M's.
All mixed up together.
Yes, I am a fat sod.

Does anyone here like broad beans, and can they suggest the best way to have them?
I've only recently started eating them but I don't have them often as I like to remove the outer skin as I prefer the flavour and colour, but it's a chore to do. |

There is no best way to have them in my opinion, the buns the best place for those |

We are quite dissimilar then as there aren't many veggies I do eat.
Apart from broad beans, I eat peas (standard and mushy), potatoes and an occasional raw carrot. |

KFC for me, but really I love a meaty, greasy, spicy pizza |

One of my favourites, especially with lamb chops.
Such a chore to make though, compared to making egg and chips."

Comfort food to me would be food l eat when l need a pick me up or food I'd eat for the sake of eating not what I'd eat generally so for me it'd usually be Crisps or chocolate , cake or buns . |
