Whats the micro pedi?"

I gave my guppy one for Christmas. He was delighted with the way his little fins were all neat, trimmed and tidy. He's now positively pouting.

It didn't really do anything for me a good pedicure couldn't do better.

I found it worked for me when my feet were really dry and cracked, but no difference when they were in good shape.

No, i have never tried one, and i don't think i will, just don't like the idea of putting my feet in a tank and the fish eating my skin.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

"wernt they banned or at least frowned upon for health reasons?"

I heard it was because only starving fish would eat dead skin ie cruelty to animals. Both the ones in York have closed down now.

how can they transmit HIV? you are not allowed to use it if you have broken skin etc

i had one when it was a novelty but wasnt overly fussed with it to be fair

Had one in thailand a few years ago, enjoyed it. Have seen some in Camden and there are just a handful of fish in each tank, probably around 5% the total that they had in the tanks over there so I can't see how it is close to being the same

Herts

Most of the ones I know of have closed down but I wouldn't have done it anyway. Have heard of people contracting flesh-eating diseases, hepatitus C, HIV, fungal infections ect. They may just be horror stories but that was enough to put me off an idea I was already unkeen on.

If you do manage to find one, make sure you observe the full treatment, I have seen places that take off nail-varnish, wash your feet and check for any cuts, ect before you put your feet in the tank and the tanks are also removable and changed over alot (these I think would be the best ones you could find) whereas other places I've seen had fixed blue plastic bowls attached to the seat where the same fish sat all day in the same water and they just used to chuck you in the tank straight after taking your shoes off. Horrible place. Glad it got shut down! x
