But don’t get her something because you think it’s a trap and you want to avoid it. Get her something because you love her and want to show you were thinking of her (unless you *know* it will make her feel awk, having specifically asked you not to) |

I think in this case maybe do something for her instead like running a bath with candles or cook her dinner......covers most bases if she is expecting something without spending money. It won't male her feel awkward if she hasn't brought you anything.
I know if a man offered to cook fore I'd love it |

We're not getting each other anything. I can't get out to buy a card and I didn't even think about it till yesterday and then it was too late to order online. We know we love each other dearly, we don't need to give each other trinkets or bits of card. We're buying a new house instead |

You know her best.
If you want to, you should. But if she's being genuine then don't pressure yourself.
I don't don't think my partner is aware it is Valentine's tomorrow. I'm not even bothered though, you soon realise what a load of tosh it is after so many years together. |

A trap?
No, I don't think your fiancée would play silly games like that. Don't know her but it's so bloody childish. Traps.
I don't want stuff. I tell people that. I always, will always appreciate someone taking the time to do something/get something they know will mean something to me. |

OP if you know each other well enough to be engaged you know each other well enough to know if she's going to pout. We don't bother with gifts any more but I would definitely pout if he didn't bother with a card. My favourite Valentines Day card was a pancake made by B with Happy Valentines Day written on it because I'd spent ages going on about how Pancake Day is better
