There are loads of different magnesium tablets, avoid the ones containing buffer agents and additives
"Additives/Fillers
Read the back label of any supplement carefully and watch out for any synthetic fillers or additives. Avoid any unnecessary ingredients or bulking agents such as magnesium stearate, titanium dioxide, starch, iron oxide, or microcrystalline cellulose which don't offer any nutritional benefit"

I have it on good authority from my uncles friend, who knew a man whose next door neighbour once lived near a hospital, that if you wrap your leg in a bandage soaked in the sweat of albino ferrets in just six months your cramps will either have disappeared or you will wish they had.
There's no need to thank me.
Alternatively you could try a gentle stretch before bed. |

Every now and then I get chronically bad leg cramps. I've tried all sorts, I've found a good dose of Taurine helps for me. Does mean drinking disgusting drinks like Monster or Red Bull (genuinely can't stand them) but does make a difference. |

Can get taurine tablets, much cheaper and probably better than the drinks |

"You can be prescribed quinine tablets, if the GP thinks it's the right treatment, of course. I didn't think tonic water actually contained quinine now- it's just a flavouring"
Oh I never knew that ! I get malaria and drink pints of the stuff when in Africa for the quinine which is meant to stop it
To stop cramps, on training days I eat 2 bananas before training |

Do you drink a lot of milk/eat dairy ? I’ve to avoid high calcium stuff while taking zma tablets as it affects absorption |

Why? You might be better off with vit D, mag and K2. That helps everything, improves your gut, would aid absorption, you wouldn't need calcium tablets then.
I would suggest a blood test with the docs to see what you're deficient in. |
