Sunday roast...
Absolutely love a roast, one of my favourite meals 
What mouth watering meat and crunchy veggies do you have on yours?
Do you have extras? Stuffing, yorkies, pigs in blankets?

"Beef, chicken or lamb. Carrots, cabbage and yorkshire puds. Mashed potatoes and crispy roast potatoes cooked in meat fat.
Chicken gravy to finish! what time will it be ready? We'll be there! "

Roast chicken, Mashed potatoes, Roast potatoes in goose fat, honey roasted sweet potatoes, carrots, broccoli, sprouts, pigs in blankets, stuffing, Yorkshire puddings and gravy

Depends on the main meat used. A meal where anything goes because it's personal to those cooking and eating.
Yorkshire pudding is of course essential in most instances.
Lamb with a mint gravy.
Pork with mustard sauce.
Poultry with bread sauce. |

Usually chicken or a pork leg, sometimes beef after pay day.
I'm working my way through the various ways of cooking potato but have fussy kids so there is always roast potatoes, vichy carrots and broccoli.
Occasionally potatoes dauphinoise or lyonnais. If we're having beef or lamb parmentier potatoes instead of roasties.
Sometimes we will add some braised leeks in cheese sauce, creamed spinach, sautéed cabbage with caraway seeds, braised red cabbage or cauliflower cheese.
Gravy
Yorkshire puddings only with roast beef.

She talks a good game, I'll make one a few times through the year and she enjoys it (the kids and me go to my mam's every week for a Sunday dinner) she also enjoys a Toby's every so often so I'm not saying she's a lair but... |
