It's his family I feel for. I bet they love it all being dragged up again. Leave the past in the past.

Like anything said is credible after they let Jimmy Savile get away with so much

Absolutely pathetic, let the man rest in peace

Especially as all he did was enjoy a healthy adventurous sex life, and a bit of powder.

Channel 5's outdated prog about (uncle) Frank Bough is playing it safe: no fear of any legal actions from a man who died years ago; and it us cheap tv using recycled excerpts.

I had forgotten all about Frank Bough in 1988, when the BBC sacked him.

He epitomised male stars of that era: arrogant and entitled and abusive and addicted and untouchable!

Not sure C5 had anything to do with the shoddy decisions of The Beeb

They do seem to produce a constant drivel of "look how wonderful the rich people are', quickly followed by 'dirty dole cheats are taking your money'...with shite like the above shoehorned in here and there for extra tittalation.

I have no idea who watches their crap, can't remember the last time the channel graced my TV screen

It's a shit show by both Channels IMHO as BBC knew of Savile's antics. And yeah I know what you mean, I don't watch it either for the reason you stated.

Yeah, i never got Saville. I always thought he was weird. I didnt watch his programmes.

I didnt get his popularity, even as a youngster.

One of my school mates was on Jim'll Fix It.

I think he got to meet Evel Knievel.

Frank Bough epitomised an era in broadcasting, at the BBC and in the movie industry that is long gone

Those guys could do what they wanted because the culture permitted them free rein; frank Bough was sacked 35 years ago and Savile died about twelve years ago.

One forgotten egomaniac, who did manage to shoot himself in the foot was Simon Dee; that's his stage name. He went from the height of fame in the late 60s, with his show Dee Time, to signing on for benefits; and he was never employed in the media again. The first time he signed on the clerk is reputed to have said, "How the mighty have fallen!"

Simon Dee was phenomenally arrogant, abusive and very entitled, but he was not a sexual predator. He died several years ago.

I recorded the broadcast about Frank Bough and will watch it again in a few weeks time to see if my opinion has changed!

What he did sexually would be considered acceptable these days and his own business. Harassment never acceptable but own sex life private
