Kinder to who? Another of the same sex or opposite? A child? The elderly?

That matters. People can flip from sweet to sour depending on their audience.

Also depends on what's at stake or in it for them.

In the workplace or over a guy or just as a family member or friend?

Just in general, from your experience

I've been mulling this over since my earlier post and tbh neither.

I have been profoundly hurt by both men and women.

I have had unexpected and unsolicited acts of genuine and sincere kindness from both men and women.

I think it really just comes down to the individual

Kindness isn't gender related. Both men and women can be very kind, they can also both be absolute bastards.

Oh, man, disappointed this isn't a thread about the world's greatest chocolate.

But seeing as you asked, OP, I think you have kind people and unkind people, irrespective of gender. But thankfully the vast majority of people are kind, in my experience.

Women, they have that maternal kindness. Just don’t piss them off as they can turn to the harshest nastiest thing you’ve ever met (or is that just me )

In a nutshell...that's all it is. It's either given freely or not. Gender has no role. None. Nadda. Zero. Zilch.
