For many of us, we're always aspiring to be/achieve something.
That may be slimmer, fitter, more qualified etc and ultimately we often look at those who seamlessly have it all with admiration and envy.
But being successful or a winner in life can add an expectation on you to constantly be at the top of your game.
What pressure do you unnecessarily feel, to maintain a standard at, in any area of your life, which you wish you didn't have.

I never look at others with envy. I am too preoccupied with trying to just get by myself.
I never really push myself except maybe at the gym....I haven't done that in a while.
I probably feel a bit stagnated and need to give myself a kick up with bum.
Life is tough and just getting by can be tough. I don't sweat the small stuff and certainly don't hold myself up to others standards.
No one is perfect, everyone has their troubles.
If someone is doing well then good luck to them.... good luck to us all. |

To not make mistakes or fail at things.
Of course that wouldn't make me human, however I'm trying my best to get to the tipping point where I fully accept my failures and praise myself for trying instead of cursing myself for thinking I was even capable in the first place. |

Funnily enough pretty much every aspect of my life currently could be considered as failures, I have just learnt to accept it as choosing a different way. I don't or can't even begin to keep up with societies expectations so have stopped trying and it is pretty liberating. Me and my kids will still get there, wherever 'there' is, but it will be via the long scenic route. And bollocks to it all |
