I’ve got tons of these little gems in my various playlists. They’re usually belters and I turn up the volume and sing along.

But I recently got thinking - I wonder if the artist did any other stuff I’d like? And they have!! Apple Music is brilliant for being able to explore artist back catalogues and I’m discovering songs/albums that bombed when released but which I now like.

What about you? Have you got any music by a one hit wonder artist that you really like?

Pop Muzik by "M" was a rather novel hit. ¶¶..¶

But there are many gems out there.

Ram jam's.... black Betty ..took me years to finally track down anything else by them.. only to find out it's pretty ropey.. also the album included a slightly extended version of said song.. which ruined it..

That’s also a real prospect, isn’t it! I’ve uncovered a lot of terrible music which is clearly the reason behind their ‘one hit wonder’ status!

This is why I don't bother with albums/compilations much, very rare I like more than a couple of songs by the artist

Well ‘I am the one and only’ by Chesney Hawkes was, I think, his one and only?

Vehicle by Ides of March. A cracking song but never heard from them again.

Radar Love by Golden Earring ditto.

Worthing

The rock band Touch released one album and split. Opened first Donington festival back in 1980. Decent aor outfit. They did release a second album years after the band had finished.

Little did he know it would be so prophetic!!!

Although I’ve now added him to my list to see if anything else he did was as good. I secretly love that song but DON’T tell anyone!!

Just to clarify folks - i'm not after list of one hit wonders you like!!

I'm interested if you like the back catalogue of that artist, so I can expand my own collection.

TIA
