Best biscuits for dunking..?

Good morning you fabulous people, how you all doing on this chilly Friday morning?

How better to warm up with a nice cuppa, but my question is what biscuit is best to dunk..

Ginger nuts. Dunk them as long as you want and they're soft on the outside while maintaining their structural integrity meaning it will never fall in. Forget opinion, this is objectively the only answer

Personally speaking, a custard cream. Robust, and small enough to fit into a regular sized cup. Perfect.

My nan’s spare room.

You’re all wrong.

The Rich Tea is purpose built for improving the cup of tea experience.

Before everybody says they’re too soft and break, that’s because the dunking or more appropriately the dipping of the rich tea biscuit requires application, it’s an event that should be savoured and enjoyed.

None of that dunk it and throw it in your gob.

Rich tea, a classic because it’s a classic.

I rest my case.

Costa do a fantastic oval shaped ginger biscuit for ergonomic dunking. I don’t drink tea or coffee (I know, I know, I’m a wrongun) but dipped in hot chocolate they are sublime.

Rich Tea -

Chocolate hobnobs - king of biscuits

Jammie dodgers (foxes raspberry creams are the best) - awesome but not for dunking

I think if this happened, whoever invented rich teas would spontaneously combust. They would consider it an affront to the most boring, pointless biscuit ever invented.

If combustion didn’t occur, I expect they would hasten (no, that would be against health and safety, they would slowly and carefully walk) to their depressing little shed and invent a rival morsel unable to bond with anything as interesting as chocolate; such is their commitment to bland baking.

I've seen someone experiment with dunking different biscuits and they found that Digestives hold out longer than Ginger Nuts mainly becuase of the internal structure of the biscuit.

Digestives are more flake like while Ginger Nuts are crummy, so don't hold up to moisture as long.

Shout out for the Nice biscuit.

Very tasty biscuit and best to double up back to back for a remotely decent dunking experience.

But even then, this one is about timing or small dunks, otherwise half the biscuit is going in the mug.

Personally I enjoy the risk and go 75%.

“Extreme” dunking!
