The idea of a Super League in football has returned once again.

Plans for a new-look European Super League have been announced by A22 CEO Bernd Reichart with competition based on sporting performance only with no permanent members and teams would be guaranteed a minimum of 14 matches per season

It's all over the back pages.

Yeah I saw - we don’t need a super league here in the UK, we have the premier league, we have the football league and there’s the champions league. Madrid and Barca are worried there reign at the top is coming to an end because there’s so much money in the Prem

couple, us we him her.

Just more greed.

The football bubble will Pop eventually and once all these billionaires get bored and go elsewhere half empty stadiums and low TV audience's.

Leave things as they are it's all working perfectly okay as is.

To be fair, I kind of agree with Barca and Real. The Prem is hoovering up talent from everywhere over the world due and they can pay the big money and big wages to do so. The other leagues really can't compete on that scale

Premier league TV money means everyone can spend and everyone has good players. Makes for a entertaining league. For years La Liga TV money was split 80% between Madrid and Barca and 20% split between everyone else. The result is an uncompetitive league, the standard is still good but overseas interest isn’t really there. Now Barca and Madrid fear they will become like the Milan clubs. Plus Barca have got themselves into a financial mess and desperately need money
